Many thanks to Mary Ann Coyle, Chamber member, for her efforts in organizing the donated food for our community and Neighbor Missions.

Neighborhood Missions of Hoodland Lutheran Church responds to community emergencies by providing food, rent, heating supplies, utility payments and gasoline vouchers to folks in temporary need. The physical boundaries of their service area are from Henry Creek Road in Rhododendron to the east and Cherryville Hill (milepost 32) to the west.

One of their major activities is supplying food boxes to those in need; and in order to do this, they maintain a food pantry at the Hoodland Women's Club building. To stock this pantry, they are dependent on food donations from the community; and hold an annual fund raiser in the fall called the Harvest Festival. Along with Mary Ann's efforts both Clackamas County Bank and Custom Construction and Remodeling have donated $100. each to "Jump Start" tonight's, "Bite of Mt. Hood Food Auction for the community with our own Fire Chief of Hoodland, Mic Eby as auctioneer.. Please put your hands together with a great welcome for Mic.
